Rugby

Rugby is a physical team sport that originated in England in the early 19th century. According to legend, it was invented in 1823 when William Webb Ellis, a student at Rugby School, picked up a soccer ball and ran with it during a match. The sport has since evolved into two main formats:

Rugby Union (15 players per side, more structured, set pieces like scrums and lineouts).
Rugby Sevens (7 players per side, faster-paced, shorter matches, popular in tournaments like the Olympics).
